Bob Weaver, the general manager of 93.3 KDKB-FM announced today that he has hired Brandi Ramirez as a radio account executive. She replaces Charity Hughes who went to KPHO TV5 as an AE. Brandi comes from La Campesina radio in Phoenix, Arizona.

KDKB has seen a recent resurgance in the radio industry according to the latest Arbitron ratings. This is due to the hire last summer of two key people; program director NeanderPaul, and Sludge in the morning show. Timing couldn’t be better considering that they are in their 40th year of business, and celebrating their legendary tenure with a series of rock concerts this spring and summer.

Word on the street is that KDKB will be having a reunion of all staff – past and present – in the next few months. I will let you know as soon as I know something.
