Please welcome back Katheryn Greeenaway to Phoenix after a few years stay In California. Katheryn was an active member in AWRT when she was here. Katheryn has accepted a job as an AE at CW 6 and 61.

Katheryn recently published the book “For Daddy, with Love,” a gathering of stories from daughters on how their father’s character, personality, and actions influenced their development.

Before her last stay in Phoenix at KTVK, she was in the United States Air Force,  and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Studies from Arizona State University.

STEVE CLEMENT NAMED DIRECTOR OF SALES AT CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO TUCSON

Clear Channel Radio Tucson today named Steve Clement as the new Director of Sales for their seven station cluster (KRQQ, KNST, KOHT, KTZR, KWMT, KWFM and KXEW).

Steve’s sales career began with Clear Channel Tucson in 1991 in various roles and has served as sales manager for the cluster since 1997.

“Steve is a well respected leader in the Tucson radio community. His commitment has always been to find the best Integrated Marketing solution to meet our client’s objectives. His knowledge, passion and deeply engrained relationships in Tucson make him the perfect choice as our Director of Sales” said Shanna McCoy, Market Manager.

Details are becoming available about the Cumulus acquisition of Citadel – we now know that only 14 stations need to go into a divestiture trust, and most of them are there due to loss of grandfathered status rather than new combined portfolio overlap.

The digital content distribution company Geos Communications hires veteran radio executive Clancy Woods to become president of its global mobile community D Mobile. Woods most recently was president of Sporting News Radio, exiting the network last December. He previously held executive positions with CBS Radio, Infinity Broadcasting, AMFM and Nationwide Communications

Earlier this week it was announced that the former NBA star’s company Magic Johnson Enterprises and Yucaipa Companies are purchasing Atmor Properties Inc’s three Phoenix radio stations. Atmor is selling – Alternative KEXX-FM (X103.9); Rhythmic CHR KKFR-FM (Power 98.3); and Spanish/English Contemporary KVIB-FM (95.1 FM Latino Vibe). The two companies will operate the stations under the Riviera Broadcasting LLC name.

Michael Cutchall will serve as CEO and Jose Rodiles will be the COO of Riviera.

KDKB’s Kimberli Rivera Walks Over to KOOL-FM

Longtime Sandusky senior radio sales executive Kimberli Rivera resigned from KDKB-FM yesterday, to walk over to Phoenix oldies radio station KOOL-FM. This after a decade’s experience between KDKB and sister station 100.7 KSLX.

Her last day at KDKB is scheduled sometime in the next 2 weeks. We wish Kimberli all the best in her new gig!
