Tim Scott (L) and Mark "Derringer" Devine (R)
Today, Polly’s Pipeline heard KDKB’s blast from the past Mark Derringer (from the legendary Tim and Mark Show) on KTAR-FM, doing fill-in in the afternoons. Mark sounded absolutely fantastic! He’s now going by the on-air name Mark Devine. Welcome back!
Recently my cub reporter Keith Woods paid a visit to his old haunt 93.3 KDKB.
Did he have his trusty Flip camera? — of course. Keith managed to capture KDKB’s humor at it’s finest.
See the photo of KDKB LSM Todd Tang’s office. Notice the before and after photos, which are a classic.
It all started for Bob Weaver as GM of the NAU radio station many years ago. Today he’s not only the general sales manager of 93.3 KDKB-FM, but, it was announced last Friday he is now also the GSM of 100.7 KSLX-FM. Congratulations Bob!
Todd: "Thanks for the LSM job! Can I get a phone upgrade?"
With that change at KDKB, comes another change. Todd Tang who started his career in radio sales at KDKB several years ago (from the Arizona D-Backs) has been selected to be the KDKB local sales manager. All the best to Todd!
We found this YouTube video online that was made as a tribute to Tim and Mark, which aired on 93.3 KDKB for many years. Very nice!
Kimberli Rivera and family (she's the one in the middle)
Longtime Sandusky senior radio sales executive Kimberli Rivera resigned from KDKB-FM yesterday, to walk over to Phoenix oldies radio station KOOL-FM. This after a decade’s experience between KDKB and sister station 100.7 KSLX.
Her last day at KDKB is scheduled sometime in the next 2 weeks. We wish Kimberli all the best in her new gig!
93.3 KDKB station manager Bob Weaver gives the 93.3 KDKB carpet a little TLC after the carpet went down, and the new cubicles in. When asked Bob said “oh we didn’t change the carpet, we just flipped it over.” You gotta love KDKB! The carpet looks great!
It has been official for over a month, but well worth mentioning, that local agency veteran Jenny Stang, of Brooks Advertising has taken a side gig in mornings at legendary Phoenix rocker 93.3 KDKB-FM.
Brooks Advertising Facebook fanpage posted “Hey guys! Our very own Jenny Brooks Stang will be accompanying ‘The Sludge Nation’ all next week, 5:30am to 10am on 93.3 KDKB FM, Everything that Rocks! The subjects are far and wide, so if you have something you want her and Sludge to weigh in on…bring it on!!!! She’ll do her best to address every one of your suggestions!!!!”
